What’s included in a course pouch?
A course pouch is a bundle of online Korean tutoring lessons you can purchase and take using our platform. The lessons included in a course pouch each lasts 55 minutes and can be scheduled for any day of the week, including weekends. They are 1-on-1 lessons with your designated Korean tutor who will personalize the lessons to your needs. On the day of the lesson, you will be able to connect with your tutor via video chat, download and print lesson materials, and check feedback forms all on your student dashboard. The lesson materials are included as part of your purchase, so no need to buy anything extra!
Which course pouch is best for me?
Most students can clearly see improvements in conversational fluency after taking 40 lessons. However, you should purchase the right pouch based on your budget and learning goals. If you are a serious learner and want to jump up levels quickly, we recommend the Double Pouch or Jumbo Pouch that give you more discounts and longer expiration period. If you have a smaller budget, we recommend that you start with the Starter Pouch or Light Pouch.
What do I do after I buy a course pouch?
After purchasing a course pouch, you must go to your dashboard and add the courses you want to take to that pouch. For example, if you bought a Full Pouch as a beginner, then you can add 20 level 1 course lessons. If you'd like, you can even mix and match add any number of lessons from each course. Once your course pouch is full, you will be able to schedule your lessons, select your tutor, and choose your preferred topics. NOTE: You can only add courses designed within the same pouch category. (i.e. You cannot add the business course to a core pouch you have purchased).
How do I know which course level to add?
Once you make an account and go to your dashboard, you can take a level test on the Courses tab. There are also sample lessons and syllabi that you can view for each course before adding to your pouch. After trying out a lesson and you feel like the level is too easy or difficult, you can simply switch the level on the Courses tab. If you want to sign up for a free consultation, click “Book a Consultation” on our website footer. Our friendly staff will answer all of your questions and help you select the best course for you.
Is there a set schedule for taking lessons?
There is no set schedule and you can schedule lessons any time you want! We recommend that you take lessons at least twice a week and consistently, and for your convenience, we have noted our suggested pace for each pouch. Typically, students see improvements in as short as a month of regular learning. Please note that there are expiration dates to the pouches you purchase, so you must take the lessons within that time. We have a 48-hour buffer for scheduling to give tutors enough time to prepare for lessons, so the earliest lessons you can book are two days from now.
