Jenny is the CEO of SAY. Prior to SAY, Jenny worked as an investment banker for Citi. She quit her fast-paced life for well…real life. Real life happens to include tasty chicken wings (buffalo sauce with ranch is her fav), an endless amount of cute things, and beating all the boys at arcade basketball. Having lived half of her life in the States and the other half in Korea, Jenny is poised to lead SAY to new heights. She graduated with a degree in Molecular Biology from Princeton University.
Quan is the Chief Marketing Officer of SAY and leads the online and offline marketing/content strategy of the company. Prior to SAY, Quan worked for Fulbright as a research scholar and numerous news outlets such as Bloomberg. He loves all forms of visual media, including photography and video production. As a Korean learner for 4 years, he can’t wait to share his love of Korean to other learners. He holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
Yongmin is the US Operations Director and initial founder of SAY. He was conducting his military service at a senior center in Seoul where the idea came to him. Prior to SAY, he worked in business development and consulting at BCG and Credit Suisse. In his free time, he loves playing basketball and improvising blues on his guitar. He can’t wait to grow SAY into the largest global community of seniors and youth. Currently, Yongmin is finishing his degree in Public Policy at Princeton University.
Mrs. Yeon is in charge of producing our curriculum that is used by all the SAY teachers and students. She has over 10 years of teaching Korean at Yonsei University and other korean language schools. Plus, you can catch her kicking butt at yoga. She loves working with all her students and is expecting a baby boy this year. What more can we say? She's literally the Mom of the SAY family!
Jueon is a motion graphic designer and also a film/video maker based in Paris and Seoul. She majored in Art & Technology at Sogang University. While her main job at SAY is designing motion graphic and making videos, she enjoys creating artwork after her first short film ´Night Portrait’ was selected by international film festivals. Her main interests include creating art films and video installations.
Jo is the man you can depend on. Originally a native of Maryland, he now calls Seoul his home where he brings a wealth of experiences from being on an oil rig in Qatar to making magic happen with 3D printers. As a chemistry major from Princeton University, Jo co-founded his own medical concierge startup called Docandme and helps make sure that the SAY platform runs smoothly.
Katie is part of the customer happiness team, handling sales and marketing. Prior to SAY, Katie has worked in English education in Korea and now meets Korean learners from all around the world through SAY. Having spent most of her life in the U.S., Katie loves exploring Seoul while visiting museums, eating tasty desserts, and most of all, spending time with her cute puppy. Katie will be an engineering student at Carnegie Mellon University.
